alright now i have seen some pretty weird games but this one takes the cake." Naughty Bear" is a game that is pretty much the exact same as chucky but in a video game and instead of a psycho killer doll, the main character is a teddy bear." Creating a truly original game is a tough task for any developer. With so many games flooding the market there's a fishing out that happens when it comes to good game ideas. Naughty Bear, at the very least, presents an original premise for wreaking havoc. You play an evil little stuffed bear whose job it is to cause all sorts of mischief throughout his tiny bear village. While my demo for Naughty Bear was extremely short, it certainly left me wondering just how much chaos one minuscule ball of fluff could cause and how much fun it would be to do so myself."(Nate Ahearn) with games like these in the making, i really wonder to myself what is in store for the future of video games! could games start to get less and less compelling to play? or could games sales go on a major decline?
so for the past decade Rainbow Studios has been creating offroad masterpieces. starting with motocros madness in the late 90's. rainbow studios has released a game every year since then which have all been major hits, in this years game MX vs. ATV reflex rainbow studios added terrain change into the game. this ultimately changed the way a racer has to navigate the different courses when racing agains friends online or against the computer." For one thing, there's complete terrain deformation now. Driving over soft dirt will give way to the mud below, but rather than just remove dirt, you actually move it. That is, instead of just creating a line in the ground where your tire was, you're shoving the dirt to the side and creating mounds on either side of the rut, making your resulting wake more treacherous for your opponents (and yourself). The result is that each successive lap around a track leaves the course more and more worn, and you'll theoretically have a harder time keeping your lines clean as the race goes on." this feature shows just how far developer are willing to take games to be just like the real thing.
3D movies are always fun to go attend and even more fun when the 3D movie theater has moving seats such as in kings dominion. Now that 3D aspect has been brought to your home but on the video game scene. Playstation is to receive 3D firmware upgrades which will not only allow older game titles to be in 3D but new titles will also be in 3D. We all remember Virtual boy but sony promises that this will be nothing like the primitive system. Sony also eliminated the need for the unattractive and unfashionable 3D goggles, with the soon to be released 3DTV "Next year, in tandem to the Sony 3D TV product launch, PS3 also plans to launch 3D game titles, not just first-party, but we're also actively supporting third-party 3D software development," said Kaz Hirai, head of Sony Computer Entertainment. this just shows how far the gaming industry has come since the release of pong and cave adventure.
as we all know simulator games are great ways to experience things that we would never get to try. simulation games like Forza 3 helps to bring video games to the forefront of media entertainment and relevance. forza 3 is the predacessor to forza 2 obviously but what forza 3 has that the previous games do not is that the intense level of customization from engine tunning all the way to exterior look of your vehicle."Forza 3 runs laps around its predecessor. The car models have an incredible level of detail, including unique interiors for each car. I will admit that the interiors could look a little better, but overall the car models are spectacular. There's also full damage modeling on every car. You'll see dings and dents, fender benders -- you'll even see cars flip in the air. Those with a sharp eye will catch damage decals flipping on as the car makes contact with something. When you're in the cockpit view and you tap someone with the left corner of your bumper and, like magic, paint scrape decals appear across the entire hood." the customization optiion for the game is so detailed and intuitive that professional car art designers used the game to create and test out new designs. with all this talk about customization and tunning one might wonder if forza 3 is really a simulator that is worth playing...the answer to that is YES! forza 3 is different in another way in that from the beginning your not stuck with an awful car.
"so i was reading and came across the statement that said games can effect your mood. how do you guys feel about that, personaly i know when i get mollywhoped in madden 2010 it will put me in an awful mood for about an hour..." this was my first blog ever and as i look back at it im sitting here saying to my self what in the h*** was i thinking. this lacks pictures, context, and has no real meaning. although i have only done 4 blogs my third one was a real improvement from the first two."OK so as most gamers who play sports games know, EA Sports and 2K sports have had an ongoing battle since the late 90's. Both of these companies produce sports games but there has always been the question of who makes the better product. Well with this being the Tenth anniversary for the much younger 2K sports company, they decided to challenge the much older and bigger company(EA Sports) to a sales battle. Both NBA LIVE 10(EA Sports) and NBA 2K10(2K Sports) will be released to the public for purchase on Tuesday October 6. But lets just think back, don't you remember when you played a sports game and created yourself and made all the attributes 99? ha yea i remember because i did it just yesterday! This year 2K Sports did something that has never been done before. they created a NBA Draft combine that is downloadable from the internet.
The series began in 1997 and currently has nine stand-alone games with two new expansion packs for the latest console installment(xbox 360 and Playstation 3)."(wikipedia) But some would argue that this game should be banned due to the graphic nature of the game, some would also argue that this series influences negative thoughts. I personally dont agree with any of that. I really dont think playing a video game will inspire someone to go hop in there dodge viper or "banshee"(game name)and go run over an entire group of people. Or whip out an AK-47 in a mcdonalds or a "cluck-n-bell" and unload a full clip into everyone. No this series has to be one of the greatest ever just for the simple fact that it has set the standard for all action adventure games.
